New Year, New Me - For Real This Time

The time is 23:59, I am sitting under the table with 12 grapes in my hand and I am thinking about the person I am about to become. Is this the year I finally get a boyfriend? Am I going to be a gym girly? Pilates maybe? Maybe get the job I’ve always wanted. So much is going on in my head at this moment and I can’t wait for the new year.


Obviously, I’m not going in without a plan.

I am not making the same mistakes I made last year. Let me explain…


Last year I had all these goals, from fitness goals to academic goals and I put everything on my 2024 vision board. But that’s it. No solid plan detailing how I am going to achieve these goals and set milestones on them. It was just vibes. 2025 is going to be different. My goal tracker is set up with all the workout routines and a spreadsheet with different gym memberships to compare. I set out specific academic goals and I have tutors on standby to help me reach these goals as well and my LinkedIn is set up for when it’s time to look for a job.


This is the year that I achieved all my New Year’s Resolution goals – no excuses. I can’t wait to look back at this journal with a smile on my face.
