Ne gole monate neh? Dezemba, holidays, groove, imigidi, cousins, dancing, feasting, laughing, living and loving out loud- all of it! And now the calendar reminds us of new beginnings.

With all the excitement and the barrage of feel-good quotes, there often is something that lingers. Something that needs more than hype to get right. You know…intrusive thoughts that don't match the outside world. When all the fireworks and loud music and dancing and belly laughs die down- the quiet can remind us of all our fears.

Now is a good time to choose a practice to care for yourself. Anxiety, or “future tripping” is a fear of things that you cannot control anyway. So what can you control? Your playlist and your breathing.

Music is powerful. It can alter our moods and how we think. Breathing quite literally keeps us alive. How we breathe, determines how well we live this life. Intentional breathing- deep inhales and slow exhales- literally clear up brain fog and release happy chemicals like dopamine. Do that and then focus on what you can do. Choose 3 small things you can do everyday to get closer to your goals.

While you're on earth you will always be a work in progress. Perfection is both an illusion and a prison. Stay real and be tender with yourself.
